3 Steps To Lose Weight That Will Last

When it comes to losing weight there are no magic pills or secret diets that can help you reach your weight loss goals. But you can achieve your goals with these 3 steps to help lose weight.

Like most things in life losing weight (a lot of weight) boils down to conscious effort, discipline, determination and perseverance.

Losing 10, 20, 50 or 100 pounds or more all comes back to what you do on a daily basis. If you do what you’re supposed to do (eat right + exercise) day in a day out you will eventually lose all the weight you want.

However, if you throw caution to the wind and don’t do what you’re supposed to do then you may never see your weight loss dreams come true. This my friend is the saddest scenario there is.

If you’re bored of being fat, if your tired of being overweight, if your ready to start your new life today then hold on because I am about to give you the simple yet extremely effective weight loss plan you’ve been waiting for.

Are you ready? I am going to tell you in no uncertain terms what you have to do to lose all the weight you want in 3 easy to do steps. However, in order for this to work you must maintain your focus and discipline everyday to keep doing the steps until you reach your desired results.

Even if you falter and veer off your weight loss track, it’s OK. If you are able to quickly get back on track you will overtime, reap the benefits of dramatic weight loss and improved health.

And now, without further adieu here are your 3 basic steps to weight loss…

1. EAT LESS

2. EAT BETTER

3. EXERCISE

There they are. What do you think? A little anti-climatic, huh? Maybe you were expecting more… Well, let me tell you if you are able to grasp and implement this powerfully safe and effective weight loss plan is you will never again have to spend another unnecessary dime on weight loss products that don’t work.

You see, your body is a fine tuned weight loss management machine. If you follow the right plan and give your body only what it needs to survive it will do all the hard work for you.

Given enough time and following the 3 steps above you can lose tens and even hundreds of pounds without starving yourself or resorting to bogus weight loss pills or dangerous body sculpting surgeries.

Now, this is not to say that the road to significant weight loss will be easy or that you will not have to suffer a bit to reach your desired results. There will be days when you feel like throwing in the towel and giving up.

On those days you might just cave into your undeniable cravings and go crazy at your local all you can eat artery clogging buffet. But hey, that’s OK. You’re human. Sometimes you have to go a little nuts to get back on track.

However, if you are truly committed to reaching even your most seemingly unattainable weight loss goals you can and will do it by following the plan above. Now, for your benefit let’s go a little deeper into each step of the plan.

1. EAT LESS

There is really no doubt about it. If you want to lose weight you have to start eating less. You have to create a calorie deficiency in order for you body to start shedding pounds.

If you do not begin to limit how much food you take in no amount of exercise will help you reach your goals. Eating less of your favorite greasy, fat filled foods will be the quickest way to dramatic weight loss.

It really doesn’t matter how much weight you have to lose. Unless you take control of both your conscious and unconscious eating habits you’ll be hard pressed to lose even one pound.

No, you have to start cutting back on the amount of food you are used to eating. I’ve heard of stories where people would go to Mc Donald’s and pack away two Super Sized Big Mac Meals.

Obviously, this is way too much. In this situation even cutting down to one Super Size meal would be an improvement. But, as we will see in our next step, a better plan would be to do away with the Super Size meal all-together and start eating better.

2. EAT BETTER

As the saying goes, “We are what we eat.” If we eat crap, guess what? However, if we learn to eat well then not only will our waistline thank us for it but we’ll also feel better about ourselves to boot.

One of the quickest changes you can make to your diet when trying to lose weight is to ditch all the junk food you may be used to eating (chips, sodas, pizzas, donuts, cookies, etc) and start eating more vegetables.

Now, I know what you might be thinking. You may still be traumatized by your mother not letting you get up from the dinner table until you finished all your broccoli but let me tell you, your mother was right.

If you can fill half your plate at every meal with high fiber and nutrient packed vegetables you are well on your way to significant and long lasting weight loss. This is probably one of the simplest things you can do to really kickstart your weight loss journey.

While it might not be easy to start eating vegetables at every meal the sooner you begin the better off you’ll be and the quicker the weight will start to melt off your body.

3. EXERCISE

In order to kick your weight loss adventure into high gear you have to get your body moving. I don’t care if you call it working out, exercising, aerobics or whatever the point is you have to do something to get your heart rate up and your sweat glands working overtime.

Exercise is the key to sustainable, long lasting and real weight loss. For every pound you lose by eating right and exercising that is one more pound that will never come back to haunt you.

Why? Because you now know the “secret” to safe and effective weight loss. If you ever feel yourself creeping back up on the dreaded scale o’ fat all you have to do is put these 3 steps into action and watch as you stabilize and contradict any unwanted weight gain.

By exercising on a regular basis you are giving your body the energy boost it needs to ramp up your metabolism rate to start efficiently and effectively losing weight on a daily basis. I don’t about you but that sounds pretty darn good to me.

The more you push yourself physically the faster you will see change in your body occur. You may not have to work out with a personal trainer everyday but you do need to do something.

Be it going for a walk, running, swimming, biking, hiking, or any other physical activity you like to do start doing it now. Don’t spend another night on the couch watching the latest re-runs. Get your body moving and start losing weight today.

CONCLUSION

Losing weight (even a lot of weight) is not rocket science. So rest assured that anyone can do it, even you. However, it will require all the patience, discipline, determination and perseverance you can muster.

Start slow. Take it one day at a time. You may not reach your ideal weight in one week, one month or even one year but stick with it and reach it you will. By following the 3 steps above you too can become a success story like so many other before you.

So go forth and start losing all that unwanted weight that years of undisciplined living have left behind. Take control of your life starting today. Soon you’ll be glad you did. When that day comes there will be no looking back.

The Three Distinct Types of Travelers Or Tourists

[ad_1]

This may seem a strange travel tip but knowing what kind of tourist or traveler you are will help set your expectations and probably improve your travel adventures. Read the following list of three types of traveler to see whether or where you find a match.

The Recreational Traveler: Usually looking to unwind, disengage and is not interested so much in local flavor or local customs and the culture. Might be one to simply sit on the beach and relax, read a book, play golf or just rest. Is not opposed to foreign locations but not interested in being immersed deeply in a new culture. May just want to recharge their batteries before another year in the office.

The Experiential Traveler: This traveler searches for meaning within other cultures. Inquisitive and inquiring, this traveler gets beneath the exterior of strange new worlds and seeks to get the most experience (learning) out of a destination as possible. Willing to risk in order to gain experience, this traveler will have deep desires to engage a different culture and find deeper meaning within it. No expatriate bars and restaurants for this type!

The Experimental Traveler: Not only willing to try new things but almost actively seeks them. May be looking for meaning outside their present existence and are willing to try (and perhaps fail) in travels to new destinations rather than not travel at all. A subset of the experimental traveler is the existential traveler. One who indeed finds meaning in a new culture and now wishes to engage in it long term even. May be back home pining for that favorite city or country, favorite beach or mountain trip and actively saves for another trip to the same spot or even a new destination as an experiment. They have already disengaged from their routine and have inwardly relocated to their desired place.

There is room for all expressions of tourist in the world of travel but what causes ‘bad vacations’ usually results from one not understanding what type of traveler they are. The recreational tourist may not want to go on a guided tour, walks or hikes into the mountains and won’t be happy if forced to by a travel partner. Their partner in turn may not want to sit on the beach all day either. When traveling in pairs or groups, accommodations may have to be made for others so they can find the extent of their desires. While those traveling to foreign locations and NOT wanting to actively engage in a new culture may be short-changing themselves, it should not cause a whole trip to be ruined.

Knowing what type of traveler you are should make it easier to choose destinations and then enjoy the trip much more since you are setting up your trip for success rather than failure.

Lessons Taught by the Green Knight

[ad_1]

In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Gawain encounters an immortal being referred to as the Green Knight. From the moment the Green Knight barges into King Arthur’s court, Sir Gawain is not only thrust into a journey that will define him as a knight, but he is exposed to several important lessons – all of which are taught by the GreenKnight. In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the Green Knight teaches Gawain lessons of respect and accomplishment, mortal humility, and the virtue of understanding a challenge before accepting it.

The first lesson taught to Gawain by the GreenKnight is one of respect and accomplishment. At the time that the dual with the GreenKnight is first proposed, Sir Gawain is one of the lesser knights of King Arthur’s court – having not had the opportunity to prove his worth. Upon considering the GreenKnight’s challenge, he accepts, acknowledging, “I am the weakest, I know, and the least wise,/ and cling least to my life, if anyone wants the truth,/ but as you are my uncle whom I live to praise/…I have asked this of you first, and beg you to grant it” (Sir Gawain and the Green Knight 354-356, 359). By saying this, it is evident that Gawain understands that strength and wisdom are acquired by knightly tasks (such as a dual with the Green Knight) and respect and honor are bestowed upon a knight if they bring praise to King Arthur’s court and name. This same sort of honor can be seen within the ritual of Gawain’s departure one year after the challenge had been accepted. His armor is more a piece of art than a tool of war, with, “The least of his latchet of its fastenings glittered with gold,” (591) and his departure is such that, “he comes to the King and to his companions, takes his leave formally of lords and ladies, and they kissed him and walked with him and commended him to Christ” (594-596). The task that Gawain accepted has been noticed by the entire community, and they all honor him on his departure.

Perhaps no single action mirrors more clearly the honor bestowed upon a knight for engaging in a great task than the way in which the court reacted upon Gawain’s return. Once Gawain tells his story of the Knight and informs the court about the green belt he wore, “Each knight of the brotherhood, should have a baldric,/ a bright green sash at a slant around him/ worn for the sake of the knight, the way he did” (2516-2518). By performing the great task of fighting the GreenKnight and returning alive, Sir Gawain has earned the respect and praise of King Arthur’s court. Honor and storied immortality is not given to knights, it is earned. Gawain could not have learned or achieved this without the GreenKnight.

The second lesson taught to Gawain by the Green Knight is one of mortal humility. While on his journey to the Green Chapel, Sir Gawain rests for several days at the castle of a lord who says to Gawain, “let us have an agreement,/ whatever I take in the wood will be yours,/ and in exchange you will give me whatever you may acquire” (1105-1107). Sir Gawain remains faithful to this agreement for the first two days. On the third day of his time at the castle however, the lady of the castle presents Sir Gawain with her belt, saying, “For if a man has this green belt fastened around him,/ as long as it is knotted about his waist/ there is no knight under heaven who can cut him down” (1851-1853). Sir Gawain takes the belt and, with his dual with the Green Knight first and foremost in his mind, fails to offer it as a gift to the lord of the castle.

Upon his arrival at the Green Chapel, the Knight takes three swings at the neck of Sir Gawain. With the first two swings, he stops just before he would have hit Sir Gawain – sparing him for each of the two days that he was true to his pact at the castle. On the third swing however, the Knight nicks Sir Gawain’s neck with the ax, saying, “You failed at number three/ which you got the cut for./ For the braided belt you are wearing belongs to me” (2356-2358). However, the Knight then goes on to proclaim, “I am convinced now/ that you must be the most perfect knight ever to walk the earth” (2362-2363). The Green Knight realizes that being chivalrous does not require being suicidal. Sir Gawain possesses the mortal instinct of wishing to stay alive. Though Sir Gawain is ashamed of his actions, his humanly short-coming in the dual with the Green Knight provides him the humility needed to truly be one of the greatest and most noble nights of all time.

The final, and perhaps the most obvious and “real life applicable”, lesson taught to Gawain by the Green Knight is one of understanding the challenge ahead before diving in head first. When the Green Knight entered King Arthur’s court, his appearance was peculiar, to say the least. Not only did he stand at a massive height, but, “he wore not helmet and no chain either,/ nor any breastplate, nor brassarts on his arms,/ he had no spear and no shield for thrusting and striking” (203-205). If his appearance alone was not strange enough, the nature of his proposal was very different from that of a normal dual. Instead of extending the challenge of a typical fight on the court’s floor, the Green Knight says, “I shall take a stroke from him [the challenger] on this floor, without flinching./ Then you must grant me the right to give him one in return/ without resisting” (294-296). The nature of the Green Knight’s appearance and proposal should have led Gawain to ponder some questions about the challenge and the challenger before he so eagerly accepted the task. If Sir Gawain had asked the appropriate questions before committing to combat with the Green Knight, he may not have found himself in the bizarre situation of having to take a blow from an immortal knight.

In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the Green Knight illustrates to Gawain the importance of respect and accomplishment through action. Through their encounters, he teaches Gawain the existence (and necessity) of mortal humility. By accepting the Green Knight’s challenge without asking any of the necessary questions, Sir Gawain is taught the lesson of understanding. These three lessons – though painful and morally crushing at the time of their teaching – all will contribute to make Gawain a better, stronger, and more chivalrous knight. Through the Green Knight serves as the antagonist in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the lessons that he teaches Gawain make the experience far more positive than negative. Gawain’s experience with the Green Knight helps to shape him. Who knows what Gawain would have been if he refused to stand up.

Book Review – Quiet Strength by Tony Dungy

[ad_1]

Many people know Tony Dungy as the NFL head coach who took Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts to the Super Bowl in 2007. You may also know from watching him on television as an announcer and just from watching his mannerisms that he is a decent guy. But many of us have no idea about his upbringing and the people and experiences that made him who he is today. Quiet Strength is a memoir which was written after Dungy’s super bowl victory and one of the most impactful years of his life.

The book takes us through Tony’s life in chronological order, starting with his childhood and home life. Dungy had two straight-forward, moral parents. He mentions in his book how they instilled a sense of calmness in him and the difference between right and wrong. Dungy always says that when he is frustrated or wants to confront someone, he must think back to what his dad used to tell him, and figure out if yelling out will accomplish anything and actually make his situation better. You can tell from the beginning of the book that Dungy is, and always has been a family man.

As a teenager, Tony was an excellent athlete. He played varsity high school basketball and football. As a tall, slender, muscular young man, he excelled in basketball and was actually a quarterback on the football team. He was so good in fact that he went on to play football at the University of Minnesota. Dungy played a solid four years for the Golden Gophers and thought that he had a solid chance of playing in the NFL. One thing though, he did not have the typical build or college statistics of a NFL quarterback and would have to work his way onto a professional team the hard way. He was skeptical about getting drafted, and his suspicions proved to be right as he never received a call from a pro team. However, the Steelers eventually gave him a chance and signed him as a free agent to play in their defensive backfield.

Dungy made the most of his time at the Steelers organization. He felt comfortable in Pittsburg because the ownership was more like a family to him than just a boss. He made the team as a defensive back due to his smaller size and won a Super Bowl during the short time he was there. Dungy happened to be playing for the very best team of that time and ended up with a ring during one of his three years as a player. Although he did play pro football, he knew his days in the NFL were limited and needed to think of another job he could perform once his playing days had ended. As an intelligent young man who had experience as both a quarterback and defensive back, he was in a unique position to become an excellent coach.

Tony held several coaching jobs for teams such as the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the NCAA, and the Pittsburg Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings in the NFL. Dungy knew all of the right people at the teams he used to play for and they accelerated him on his coaching career due to his diligence and character. His first head coaching job came after several years of being a coordinator and assistant coach. The Glazers, owners of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, hired him as their head coach. The Glazers and Dungy had a great relationship throughout his entire career in Tampa Bay. They fully supported him and his straight-forward ideas about running a complete football team. Dungy ended up bringing his team to the NFC championships several years in a row, but could never quite reach the biggest game. The Glazers therefore decided to release Coach Dungy. Not only did he get fired, but his coaching staff did as well. This is what bothered Tony the most; he had a feeling that he could find another job in the NFL, but he had an awful time knowing his assistant coaches, hand-picked by Coach Dungy himself, may not have such a future.

Not long after being fired from the Buccaneers’ organization and not know what God had planned for him, Coach Dungy returned home one day to find a message from the owner of the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts owner told him that he recently fired his coach, and knew that Tony would be the perfect fit for the head coaching job in Indianapolis. Tony and his new boss would develop a football team as part of the community, not just to win games. Tony’s ideas of morality, self-accountability, and family-first for his football players would work well in Indianapolis.

Coach Dungy inherited an exceptional offense in Indianapolis, lead by Peyton Manning. The defense needed work and confidence, but with Dungy’s help, they were quickly playing on a whole different level. The team started to make the playoffs every year where they usually encountered their rivals, the New England Patriots. The Patriots usually got the best of the Colts, but not in 2007. Dungy won nearly all of his regular season games, beat everyone in the playoffs, and then destroyed the Chicago Bears in the NFL Super Bowl. Coach Dungy became the first African American head coach to win the Super Bowl, and instantly knew he had to apply his knowledge and fame to make the world a better place. Dungy knew that as a successful black man with such an important title and a world championship to his name, he could make an impact.

Tony Dungy has always been an extremely busy man, working seven days a week, usually with only a few hours sleep. However, he always has found the time to do charitable work. This includes church work, starting charitable organizations with his wife, Lauren, and running All Pro Dad. This organization focuses on making fathers all across the nation into better people, and to teach these men to be there for their kids. The concept is simple, yet profoundly important. Imagine how many kids in this world do not know who their fathers are and how they do not have a male presence in their life. All Pro Dad teaches fathers and even male figures to be role models to the younger people in the world.

While Coach Dungy has shown himself to be a great man and a noble person, it is what he does behind the scenes that truly makes him great; he puts his family first and always makes them his number one priority. Not only do Tony and Laura have numerous kids of their own, they have started to adopt. Since they are in such a fortunate position in the world and financially well-off, they have made better lives for black orphan children. Anyone who has children knows that they can be a blessing, but difficult at times. Often in life children can bring incredible happiness, but also sad moments as well. The first child Tony and Laura adopted is missing a critical gene which would allow him to feel pain. Since the child cannot feel pain, his parents must watch the child at all times to make sure he is not doing anything which may unknowingly harm him.

Most of Coach Dungy’s book is uplifting and has a positive vibe, but there is a part of the book which takes the reader by surprise. During Dungy’s 2007 championship season, he received a call in the middle of the night. Everyone knows that middle of the night calls are never good, and this call was heart breaking; Coach Dungy’s son, Jamie, had committed suicide. Dungy says repeatedly that he will never know what caused Jamie to take his own life, but he knows that Jamie had placed God first in his life and is undoubtedly in Heaven now. It is very sad to read about terrible things that happen to such great people, but Dungy put a positive spin on the situation. He said that Jamie blessed their lives for eighteen years and he should be remembered for all the joy he brought. Jamie never had an enemy and made friends very easily. From what Tony Dungy wrote about Jamie, it is very clear that Jamie was just as good of a person as his father.

After reading Coach Dungy’s memoir, one thing is evident: Coach Dungy lives his life for God. Life will put you through the highest of high moments and the lowest of lows. The thing that makes us all different and special is how we react to these situations. Dungy has learned to persevere through the tough spots in life and to stay modest through the championship-caliber moments. Tony Dungy is a role-model for everyone and we all can learn a positive lesson from reading his book. This book is rated 5 out of 5.

4 Physique Types – Swimmers Body, Dancers Body, Gymnasts Body and Runners Body

[ad_1]

When someone thinks of their dream body type, they often use popular sports physique types to describe it. It isn’t uncommon to hear someone compare a mans build to that of a linebacker, or a womans build to that of a dancer. I am going to discuss in detail four types of athletic physiques.

The Swimmers Body: Look no further than record breaking Olympic Gold Medalist – Michael Phelps to find the picture perfect description of a swimmers body (for a man of course). His torso is lean and tone, with well defined (but not bulky) muscles. For men, the swimmer’s body type has broad shoulders, a medium to long torso and a flat as a board abdomen. What sets apart the swimmers body from other athletic types is the noticeable lean-ness of their physique and broadness of their shoulders. There long bodies combined with great posture makes for a regal effect. Ironically enough, a swimmers body type for women is a bit different. They too have well defined muscles, but because it shows mostly in their shoulders, triceps and biceps – it can come across as a little too broad or bulky. But trust there is nothing bulky about the female swimmers body – like most women athletes, the training of a swimmer leads to muscle development that the average woman never experiences.

The Gymnast’s Body: It’s usually easy to spot the trained gymnast – just look for the person that’s usually short in height, with long muscular legs and a short torso. Though male gymnasts are taller than female gymnasts (of course), generally speaking – gymnasts tend to be shorter than the average. Their strength is in their legs and upper body, so bulky muscular thighs, calves, biceps and triceps are not uncommon. This becomes even more noticeable in female gymnasts.Taller gymnasts, particularly female gymnasts tend to have leaner muscle definition. Most female gymnasts also have boxy hips and shoulders.

The Dancer’s Body: The dancer’s body type can be identified by defined calves and thighs, a long or straight torso (often emphasized by great posture) and lean muscular arms. In men, the waist line tends to be thinner and in women, the back/lower back is noticeably toned. Now this is just a general description – there are so many types of dance that bring strength and definition to different muscles in the body. For example, someone trained in ballet will have a taller and leaner looking physique, whereas someone trained in tap will have more definition in their lower legs.

The Track Runner’s Body: The sprinter track athlete’s body type is hands down the most muscular of them all and this goes for both men and women. This changes for long distance runners. Track athletes who run in cross country events have a leaner and longer muscle. The sprinter’s body type is what comes to the mind of most people when they think of a track athlete. Their muscles in their legs are extremely well defined, from the calves, to the quads and including the glutes. Theirs is a body type built for speed.

Three Ways to Make a Girl Really Jealous on the Phone

[ad_1]

Everyone knows that when a girl is jealous about a guy she’s dating, she is massively more attracted and committed to him. Jealousy can be overdone and cause problems, but used in moderation, if you make a girl jealous enough, she’ll want to be your girlfriend. Even if she’s dating several guys that are more handsome, funny, and sweet than you, she will go with the guy who makes her pine over him the most. A lot of guys get caught when trying to make a woman jealous, but if you use these tricks over the phone, she’ll never suspect what you’re doing.

The thing to keep in mind here, is that these tricks are meant to show the woman that you have other women in your life, NOT that you are sleeping with them or chasing after them. If you try to imply that these women are your playmates, you’ll risk coming off as obviously bragging. Instead, keep it ambiguous and let your girl’s imagination run wild.

To begin, here are three ways to make a woman jealous when she’s on the phone with you:

1) Call Waiting:

Call waiting was designed to let you take two calls at once, and switch back and forth. When you are talking to a girl you like, say you have another call, but just hit the mute button instead of clicking over. After a few seconds, come back and say “Sorry about that. Charlene always calls at the weirdest times to get food. I mean, it’s 10:30!”

Another thing you can do is hit the mute button, then come back and say “Hey Charlene” in which your girl will say “Umm it’s still Tina.” You then apologize and then click over “for real” to let the imaginary Charlene go, and then come back. She can piece together from that that you have girls calling you.

2) Calling with Girls in the Background

This trick is a little more sincere, but call the girl you’re interested in while you are out socially around other women. If your girl can hear the other female voices in the background, she’ll know you have other women in your life, and that it’s likely you could date some of them if you wanted to.

3) Texting the wrong girl “by mistake.”

When names are similar in someone’s phone, sometimes one can accidentally send a text to the wrong person. Use this to your advantage. If you have a girl named Amy in your phone, send her this text: “Annie, your pasta is amazing, thanks so much for last night!” Afterwards, quickly text again with “Oops, wrong person, disregard that.” Amy now has to wonder who is this Annie and why is she making you pasta.

There are also a great number of ways to make a woman jealous in person. Hopefully we’ll soon have some information on that posted up as well. Until then, use jealousy plot lines sparingly, because last thing you want is a raging woman trying to knock your door down. Be safe.

Talking Cars From Movies and TV

[ad_1]

Surely, at some point in your life, you have owned a car and hoped that it would come to life in an instant. There are some iconic cars from movies and TV that make us have car envy and hope that with a push of a button we could be in the Batmobile. Here are a few of the top iconic cars from the movies or TV and their features.

First off, Pixar’s film “Cars”. This movie follows Lightening McQueen (played by Owen Wilson) while he tries to make it back from the run down town of Radiator Spring in hopes to win the Piston Cup. There are many other characters that we meet during McQueen’s journey, Mater the loveable tow-truck (played by Larry the Cable Guy), Sally Carrera (Bonnie Hunt), and former Piston Cup winner Doc Hudson (played by Paul Newman). This race car is a new rookie for the races and can reach extreme high speeds. He has some interesting features that model actual race cars, like having stickers instead of headlights. However, this car talks, has eyes, and has a winning personality.

Next on our list is KITT from Knight Rider. KITT, Knight Industries Three Thousand, is a sporty 1982 Pontiac Trans Am and has an artificially intelligent computer installed that allows it to help Michael Knight (David Hasselhoff) fight crime. KITT (William Daniels) has a special body armor that protects it from just about any type of firearm and can resist extreme heat. The super computer on wheels of course could talk, but not only that, he was fluent in Spanish and French, and even has a variety of different accents. This really was the best car ever for any human crime fighter since it could talk, smell, hear, could examine the area, had an array of weapons, had different modes like silent mode, and of course he could still function as a regular car. Pardon me, an awesome car.

Herbie is a very iconic car which lands it in the next slot on our list. This old school Volkswagon Beetle race car actually in habits the human soul who made him named Herbie. Herbie can function just fine on its own like any normal car: driving itself, reasoning, thinking, knowing the difference between good and evil. Ok, so normal cars don’t do that last one, or any of those. But, Herbie does race and help its owners survive different situations and helping good prevail over evil.

Some people can be obsessive about a car, but what about a car obsessed with it’s owner. That is the case with the car Chrstine. In the movie, Christine was portrayed as a 1958 Plymouth Fury who was obsessed with her owner Arnie (Keith Gordon). Christen takes it upon herself to find those who insult, hurt, or attempt to separate her and her love, Arnie. She can’t talk like some of the other cars like KITT of Lightening McQueen, but like Herbie, it’s as if her soul is trapped within the car. And, what a soul it is. Christen will wreak havoc to anyone who does her Arnie wrong, no matter how much it may hurt her. Hell hath no fury like a woman, um, car scorned.

An Honest, Critical Review of the Dani Johnson Scam

[ad_1]

Who is Dani Johnson?

Dani Johnson began her career in the Network Marketing industry as a broke, homeless cocktail waitress with $2.03 to her name. Within her first several hours of starting her new business, she had made several thousand dollars of profit. She made more than $250,000 her first year, and more than $1,000,000 her second year, becoming the #1 international producer in her company.

Since that time, she has founded Call To Freedom International, and travels around the world teaching whoever will listen (or, whoever can afford to listen, as we shall see) her principles of success.

Can She Help Me Succeed?

That depends. You’ve probably visited Dani’s site and seen the impressive array of testimonials from people of all walks of life. Her website boasts well more than 10,000 unique testimonials from people of all over the world. Pretty impressive, to say the least.

My personal experience with Dani Johnson is not that inspiring.

I first ran into Dani’s teaching when I was living in Fairbanks, Alaska. At the time, I was for the first time in my life making a significant income from my company, around $4,000 a month only working about 2 hours a day. My organization was growing by 30-40% a month and I was really enjoying the process.

I came across Dani’s teachings and really believed it would take me to the next level of success, and help my team to experience the success they had been looking for. I bought every single training on her website (quite the pretty penny, but worth the investment, or so I thought)…

I gathered my whole team together and we had a huge house jam-packed full of people listening to ‘Prospect and Close Your Way To Millions’. ALL of them got fired up. (Dani can be pretty darned convincing). I personally invested 3-4 hours a day listening to Dani’s training, thinking I had finally found the ‘Golden Key’.

So What Were The Results?

My income immediately dropped by $1000, that very month, and recruiting almost completely stopped. The funny thing was, nothing in the company had changed and we were more excited than ever. So what did we do?

Instead of dropping Dani Johnson like a bad habit (like we should have), we heard Dani say that we needed to go to a seminar, so a bunch of us flew down from Alaska to L.A. and attended her well known ‘First Steps to Success.’ I personally spent more than $1500 between airfare, lodging, and the outrageously priced tickets, and between my group I think the price we paid was around $15,000.

That month, my income dropped by another $1000. Convinced that I needed to invest in my skills, I went to Dani’s ‘Creating a Dynasty’ and bought her ‘Prospecting and Closing’ classes, spending well over $2500 two months later.

What happened? My income went from $2000 to less than $1000, and from then went down to around $400 before I did what I should have done, and that’s drop Dani’s teachings like a bad habit and do what is proven to work!

So is Dani Johnson a Scam, or what?

Although there are many people who claim to benefit from her teachings, I certainly was not one of them. I invested 1000’s of hours of listening, called more than 5000 leads, and spent more than $5000 of hard earned cash flying all over the USA and buying trainings that completely destroyed my business. When I called and asked for a refund, (politely), they declined. I certainly feel I was scammed.

However, the good news is, when I learned about ‘Attraction Marketing’, my business started exploding faster than it ever had in the past, and now I am recruiting more people than I can handle, or could ever imagine…

Conclusion

If you are thinking of investing serious money in Dani Johnson’s material, just remember that when you sponsor a distributor, you have a responsibility to help them be successful as fast as possible, and that most of them are not expecting, (nor do they want), to fly all over the country paying their child’s college savings to go learn something that only works for sales superheroes. Any good, legitimate MLM organization should provide this training to their people, free of charge, with the understanding that if you benefit, they benefit.

That’s how this business is supposed to be, people helping people, building each other’s dreams through service, leadership, mutual prosperity and integrity.

If you want to spend $25,000 a year on training, learn from Dani Johnson. If you want to live a life of prosperity, learn Attraction Marketing. You decide.

Aloha,

and God Bless.

Pearls and Pearl Hunting

[ad_1]

For many years, divers in the Indian Ocean gathered pearls. Also areas like the Red Sea and Persian Gulf were popular too for pearl hunting.

In those days pearl hunting had an element of danger, which even today still exists, albeit to a lesser degree. The South China Sea was a popular place for the Chinese to hunt for pearls. Hunting for pearls in the South China Sea started around the Han Dynasty (around 200bc).

Pearl hunting became very popular in areas such as Cubagua and Margarita, which are areas off the Venezuelan coast. The main reason for these areas becoming so popular was due to the simple fact that there were so many readily available pearls. Nowadays Margarita pearls are very rare!

Divers used to dive down and manually extract the pearls from the bottom of the seabed and also from rivers.

Nowadays, in places like Dubai you can actually go pearl hunting! As we have established earlier in this article, the Persian Gulf was (and still is) a very popular place to in go pearl hunting. Although considered dangerous, entrepreneurs have started to capitalize on this market by offering days out for those wanting to find pearls.

Making a living from pearl hunting requires a huge amount of time commitment, and also being happy to dive up to 40 meters is a useful prerequisite! However, on these pearl hunting days you will not be diving to such depths. What you will learn on these days are where to look for pearls, and also what’s great is if you find a pearl you get to keep it!

In the 19th century pearl hunting accounted for over 90% of the regions economy in the gulf, including Dubai.

Many thousands of men used to work as divers. It was a very tough job as you cam imagine. May men lost their lives, and many suffered long term health issues from the nature of the work. The pearl divers were often rubbed in fats and oils to protect themselves from the seawater.

When vessels went out to sea they would often be cramped full of divers (over 100 per vessel at times). During these trips there were not just divers, but also men who did a range of jobs including a cook, ropes-men, a captain and even a singer!

The pearl hunters were very fit individuals – swimming lots kept them in shape. This was very important as they would have to dive down very fast, and then not breathe for up to 2 minutes.

Most people would find this very hard, but doing such when doing cardio-vascular exercise is something else! As you can imagine only younger men (under 40) could do this job. After the age of 40 most had either died or were too ill to continue.

This is the sad truth about the history of pearl hunting. Lucky today it is not as dangerous. However, it will ways have that inherent risk. That maybe is one of the reasons pearls are still so sort after today…
