Transmission Repair Shop – Sneaky Tactics

I hate to say this but transmission repair shops employ some of the most dishonest practices in the automotive industry. They are able to get away with this for two reasons.

The first reason is for every 50 general automotive mechanic shops there are may be five transmission shops. So supply and demand naturally hires the prices these companies can charge. This is nothing new but some of these transmission companies get outrageous.

Second, unless you are a a specialist in this field you most likely know nothing about transmissions. Any technician can tell you anything and you have no verifiable way of double checking.

Here are some common scams in the transmission repair industry and some common mistakes that customers make:

We need a new transmission a shop will give usually give you two options. They can either install a brand-new transmission, which will cost a lot, or they can install a rebuilt transmission, which will still cost a lot but possibly be half the cost.

You have to understand the dangers in getting a rebuilt transmission. There is a good possibility that these will not be as good as a brand-new transmission or may not last as long. If you’re dealing with a reputable shop who has capable employees they can rebuild a long-lasting transmission.

They should also factor work up with some type of warranty. Do not get a rebuilt transmission without a decent warranty of some type. Make sure you get it in writing. There have been many shops who have sold customers rebuild transmissions and they failed within a matter of days or weeks.

Those same customers, of course being irate, came back to the shop only to find that that particular shop would not honor its “verbal” or “implied” guarantee. If you do however agree to a rebuilt transmission please do not come crying to the transmission repair shop when after the warranty you have problems again. He did go the cheapest route and you must understand that it comes with inherent risks.

Beware of transmission shops that have all sorts of low cost transmission maintenance services and specials to get in. Many of the automotive companies or what I like to call “commission fee based shops.” The shops pay their employees a small hourly wage but make it so they receive a percentage of their total gross sales.

Avoid these companies at all costs! These transmission repair shops have a system where they trick volumes of people every single day into their place of business with the lower at cheap rates and then convince them into buying services and parts they do not need.

This practice has become standard among many of the big box national chains and quite recently has been adopted by many of the small local ones. If you feel like you’re being pressured into buying something you feel you may not need, please, get a second opinion.

I have already touched a little upon the subject but I need to bring up the matter of warranties again. Every warranty and every guarantee needs to be in writing. Do not any transmission repair facility just tell you they back up all their work.

Do not just let them tell you you can bring your car back, and they will fix it for free, if within a couple weeks or months you experience the same problems they were supposed to fix. Every agreement should be in writing including all the terms and conditions.

And speaking of terms and conditions this brings us to the most common scam that most transmission repair facilities do. It is sad that many of these companies resort to what I’m about to say but all you have to do is look online and you will hear hundreds of horror stories.

You’re having transmission problems. You go to a local transmission repair shop and get an estimate. The parts and labor cost $1200. It seems fair see make arrangements to leave your vehicle with them for several days.

Within one day you get a call from the transmission shop. They proceed to tell you that the price is going to be more than what was on the estimate. The excuses are more numerous than the sands found on the beach. It could be any excuse from the parts costing more than expected to them not being aware of the certain problem when they first gave you the estimate.

So the result is that the price that was “$1200” is now “$3500.”

Now your typical person in this position has two options at this point. He can bite the bullet and pay the $3500, in effect paying $1800 more than what was agreed upon, or he can pick his car up.

Keep in mind that the cars is most likely already torn apart at this point. Here is where shops get even worse. In order for you to pick your car up the transmission shop is still going to charge you a fee for putting your car back together, storage, towing, and trust me they will find other miscellaneous charges to add upon that.

So you end up getting the work done, but in the process getting ripped off, or you’re left with the same broken car but you paid 500 bucks just to be able to pick it back up from a shop then attempted to screw you (and they did). It’s a no-win.

This is why you should only do business with reputable transmission repair shops. How do you know if the shop is reputable? In this day and age where honesty and honor are as common as black-and-white televisions you must do your homework.

Ask family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances for recommendations. The good transmission repair shops are out there. You just have to find them among the many bad ones.

Once you get a recommendation from someone you know look the shop up on the Better Business Bureau, local websites where people post reviews, and forums. Ask a transmission shop for customer references.

If they are in fact reputable they should be able to produce one or two happy customers you can talk to. A little due diligence goes a long way because once they have your car you are at their mercy.

Hopefully this article will have giving you insight about the tricks transmission repair shops employ to make a quick buck and hopefully you will be able to take this information and benefit from it.

Why We Need to Find Alternative Fuel Sources

Like any other perishable commodities on the Earth, fossil fuels also have a limited life span. You use them without thinking today, but one day all the fossil fuels will be depleted. Experts have already set a date when this planet will have no fuel left to run cars. Without fossil fuels, owning a Lamborghini, Jaguar or a Mercedes will not matter. Considering this it becomes important to iron out all glitches on alternative fuels arrangements that have been invented over the years.

In anticipation of the day when natural fuels will perish, other sources have been found but their full potential is yet to be tapped. These alternative fuels when used can prove to relieve the worries of the entire global community and also be easier on the pocket unlike fossil fuels. There might have to be minor re-arrangements made to our machines but it will prove to be an advantage in the long run. Some of the options already in use are:

Biodiesel also know as green fuel is extracted from vegetable oils and animal fats. Soybean oil is the most widely used oil for extraction as any by-products can also be effectively used and the items used are very much cost-effective. A blend of biodiesel and petroleum in the right quantities can be used to power your diesel engine with and without modifications to it. Biodiesel is an excellent contender for alternative fuels.

Ethanol is produced from sugar and crops like barley, wheat and corn. It can become an ideal source of energy because it is produced from wood by-products and biomass, the stuff which is normally not thought to be useful. A blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline is popularly used to run Flexible Fuel Vehicles. This blend which is called E85 is odorless and helps to lengthen the engine life.

Solar Power

Solar power can be harvested using solar cells. Solar cells convert this energy into electricity. Solar panels can also be used to power machines. Although these can prove to be a tremendous source of alternative fuels, they are far from perfect. The abundant power of the sun needs to be tapped properly to get an ideal alternate for fossil fuels.

Wind Power

Wind turbines can convert the tremendous power of wind into electricity. This electricity can be used to power a number of homes. Wind power is inching its way up to be considered the number one source after fossil fuels. It is clean and freely available to anyone who is able to harvest it.

There are also few other options available which can be considered to be alternate fuels. With so many choices it is possible to reduce the dependency of the global community on gasoline. These can be produce internally by any country with the raw materials to do it at-hand. It can be used without worrying about the sky-rocketing costs and how the by-products might be affecting the climate causing global warming.

Technology Articles – How to Write Technology Articles Successfully

Technology articles (or technical articles are they are sometime known) are defined as articles that describe a procedure, give instructions or relay information about a technical product. This can include cell – phones, internet software, computers, mp3 players, DVDs, Blue ray and so on. Anyone who sells such devices online can benefit from posting technology articles to drive traffic to their website. Standard technology articles are available online for free or there are article- writing services available that will customise the technology article you require for your product. If you feel that you can write your own technology article then here are some tips to increase its quality-

1. Understand the technology. If you selling a cell-phone, for example- you need to know more than how to turn it on. You’ll want to invest time in getting to know all the key benefits of this product, what it can do and why it’s worth buying. The more information you know, the easier it will be to word it in your own unique writing style. Plus, when you know all your facts, the reader will trust that you genuinely know the product and assume that they finding out about something worthwhile.

2. Find out what’s hot and what’s not. People who are searching for technology articles or products online will mostly want information on the latest technologies. Talking about video players might not be the best idea in this respect. Keep yourself updated on what is newly available on the market and if possible give the reader new and exciting information on up and coming technology.

3. Use catchy titles. Technology can be boring to the average person plus there is so much technology available online now that it’s hard for the reader to know what to click on first. You must grab their attention from the start using hook-lines such as – “Amazing new 3D screen about to be released.” This creates a need within the reader to find out more and will give you an advantage over the more mundane technology articles out there.

4. Don’t be afraid to use pictures. Where technology is concerned, people like to see visual evidence of what you are describing. Pictures are a great motivator for people to want the product or at least click on your link to find out more. It is just another way to engage the senses and prove to the reader that this product exists. You might also want to give them some links to relevant e-books or other products that you are selling, if they do not commit to one product, they might be more suited to something else.

5. Use relatively easy language in your technology article. There are few people that know the full depth of the technology you are describing so don’t bore them with too much technical jargon. Allow them to feel like they understand what they are reading about, you don’t want them to go away confused and irritated. If you keep it simple whilst showing them that you know what you are talking about, they will be more impressed. The result will be an entertaining and successful technology article to be proud of.

Neuromuscular Pathways in the Body

As soon as you begin research involving sports training or innovative new training regimens such as the Speed Chains, it is common to read about what the training does for your neuromuscular pathways. I had a basic idea as to what this means but I knew that I was uninformed of the science behind it and I figured others might be as well. So I decided to devote an article to this important topic.

Neuromuscular pathways are the communication channels between the brain and the muscles. Whenever a person wants to perform a certain movement, skill, or task it is along these pathways that the brain informs the body’s muscles what action is going to be required to accomplish the goal at hand. Once these pathways have been developed, the nerve impulses, which carry the brain’s communication to the muscles, travel them over and over. As one document I read while researching described it, neuromuscular pathways are like ruts in the road; unless you constantly steer away from them they are easy to fall into.

Now this brings me to my next point. The body quickly adapts to how we use it. In everyday life the general movements people make are slow, steady and often without much effort. The body therefore organizes itself for the task at hand, which normally does not require the necessity of having efficient neuromuscular pathways. This is the reason athletes are generally faster, stronger, quicker, more coordinated, and what we ascribe as being more “athletic” than the general population.

People usually attribute athletes being more “athletic” due to training and therefore being in better shape than the average person. This is partly true, but the real reason training improves athletes’ athletic ability is because it creates new, more efficient neuromuscular pathways. Good training regimens are able to redefine the way your brain tells your muscles how to move. Your body is constantly in a state of learning, adapting, memorizing, and recalling movement patterns. Therefore, if you repeatedly tell your body to move faster, quicker, harder, and more explosively your body will accommodate this goal and find a way to move faster, quicker, and more explosively.

It is able to do this by redefining time and time again the path in which the nerve impulses from the brain to the muscle travel (getting out of that rut!). These new paths will become more efficient and thereby deliver messages from the brain more quickly so the muscles will fire faster. It will also allow for the brain to better sequence different muscles firing. The result of your muscles firing in better sequences and in faster succession with one another is what we call coordination. Elite athletes have superb coordination and is the primary reason they are able to perform highly difficult tasks with such ease.

What separates elite athletes from average athletes and average athletes from the general population has a lot to do with the efficiency of the motor control center of the brain and how quickly it can deliver messages to the muscles to perform certain movements. The good news is that an athlete can train his neuromuscular system resulting in better coordination and quicker movements. One of the primary benefits of Speed Chains is that it can improve neuromuscular pathways because of the nature of the exercises. Check out my next post for more specific examples of how training the neuromuscular pathways, such as with the Speed Chains, will specifically pay off in better performance during competition.

Until next time,

Which Pure Water Technology Is The Best For Home Water Purification Units?

Let us face it; market today has a large number of pure water technology based water filters. However, which amongst them is the best? Which results in 100% unpolluted water? Which one should you opt for?

Before jumping on to the best pure water technology, let us first understand why the trend maker reverse osmosis technology is not the best any more.

It is because of two reasons –

1. Water filtered by RO technology is still impure

Studies have proven that the reverse osmosis is not capable to remove quite a few smaller molecular size impurities like chlorine, chloramines, trihalomethanes (THMs), volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), etc. These impurities pass through the semi permeable porous RO layer along with water to become the part of so-called unpolluted water.

The consumption of this water results in migraines, headaches, upset stomach, and even to increased risk of rectal and bladder cancer.

2. Water filtered by RO technology does not contain essential minerals

Water naturally contains essential minerals like iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, etc. which are required by the body. Because the reverse osmosis pure water technology does not allow bigger molecules to be part of intainted water, all these essential nutrients are stripped off from the water.

The consumption of this de-mineralized water results in multi vitamin deficiency. This deficiency can lead to weaker bones, pain in joints, morning stiffness, and other dental issues.

Because of the above two points, the RO based water purifiers are no more recommended. Instead, their place has been taken by filtration systems based on latest methodology called carbon filtration, sub-micron filtration and ion exchange. These innovative filtration techniques remove out all the unwanted toxins (including the drugs, pesticides, herbicides, etc.) from the water. Moreover, with the latest the ion exchange technology, harmful lead ions are pulled out and they are replaced by valuable potassium ions. This increases the mineral content of the water; thus makes it healthier.

Besides purity and nutritional values of water, purifiers based on above pure water technology have following advantages too –

1. They are not expensive

2. They do not have high maintenance cost

3. They are not bulky

4. They are convenient to use.

So, now what are you waiting for; get out there, put this information to test and install the best and pure water technology based purifier. If you need my assistance in recommending you the a safe and healthy option, feel free to visit my website mentioned below.

What Is The Best Handicap Stair Lift?

If you’re handicapped a stair lift can really give you back your independence. But the cost of a handicap stair lift is expensive so before you part with your money you should make sure you buy the best stair lift for you. Here’s a quick review of stair lifts for the disabled.

There are two basic types of stair lift; the straight stair lift and the curved stair lift. These further divide into electric AC mains stair lifts and DC battery operated stair lifts. First off, do you require a curved stair lift? The price of a curved stair lift is many times more expensive than a straight stair lift. And most stair lift manufacturers only make straight stair lifts. These manufacturers will tell you that you can use two straight stair lifts if you have a middle landing, however you should bear in mind that you will have to get on and off the stair chair lift twice; this may not be so easy, depending on your handicap, especially when changing stair lifts on a small interim landing.

Until recently just about all stair lifts for the disabled were powered from mains electricity. This had some problems: the units were noisy: they had a trailing cable, which could be easily tripped over; the ride action was somewhat ‘juddery’; and you couldn’t use it when there was a power failure. Most new handicap stair lifts are battery powered. You get many advantages with a battery stair lift: quiet ride; smooth ride; no mains wires and easy to install; and you can use it when there is a power outage.

However, there are some advantages to main power. With an electric stair lift you can use it as much as you like; battery operated stair lifts need to be recharged. So, if you think you might use the handicap stair lift more than 20 times a day, then you could consider an electric stair lift.

The following manufacturers make handicap stair lifts for straight stairways only.

The Acorn Superglide 120 stair lift is a very good battery powered unit. You get many features as standard; safety sensors to stop the chair when it encounters an obstacle, fold up seat and flip up foot rest, swivel seat, and a directional paddle switches that are operated by the lightest touch and can be used easily by those even with limited dexterity. You also get a choice of safety belts; inertial reel lap harness comes as standard – you have to pay more for a fixed 3-point shoulder harness.

Finally, Acorn also manufactures the Superglide Perch Stair Lift. This perch stair lift is especially useful for those who have only limited movement in their knees – it’s also ideal for stairways that are narrower than normal.

Summit stair lifts are designed to be cheap and easily installed. The company makes electric stair lifts and not battery. You get many of the features that come with the Acorn; however the controls on the Summit stair lift are not ideal for the disabled. Also, you don’t get a safety belt. If your disability is such that you have limited use in your hands or you need to be secured with a safety belt, then you really should consider the Acorn; the price of its disable stair lift is more than that of the Summit stair lift but you do get a lot more features that are better for the handicapped.

If you need a curved stair lift then you’re probably best is considering either a Bruno stair lift or Stannah stair lift – both of these companies also make excellent straight stair lifts.

All Bruno stair lifts are battery powered. The company makes the Bruno Electra-Ride III Curved Rail stair lift. You get a retractable safety belt; optional wrap-around parking so the chair doesn’t occupy too much space on the landing; and it can carry up to 350 lbs. All in all, the Bruno is an excellent stair lift for the disabled.

Stannah is a UK stair lift manufacturer who supply handicap stair lifts all over the world. The Stannah 260 stair lift is its curved stair lift. This stair lift is ideal for the disabled. The arms come with integrated controls that operate at the lightest touch – you can also get a joystick option if you prefer. You get a manually operate swivel seat as standard but there’s also a powered swivel option. The stair lift comes with 9 sensitive safety edges to detect any obstacle and stop the chair. Finally, the chair travels along a unique dual track that is very elegant in design.

The Stannah stair lift is a little more expensive that the Bruno handicap stair lift but it is worth paying that little bit extra.

The above four stair lifts all work well for the disabled. For a straight stair lift, the Acorn Superglide stair lift is your best option. For a curved stair lift, the Stannah stair lift is my recommendation. Whichever model of handicap stair lift you choose make sure it has the features you need.

"A Day’s Wait" Short Story – A General Analysis

Regarding the plot of this short story, “A Day’s Wait” by Ernest Hemingway, and to obtain a general understanding, it involved a nine-year-old child named Schatz, his father, and his doctor. Schatz believed that he is going to die when the doctor told his father that he is suffering from a fever of 102 degrees.

The story took place before 9:00 a.m. one morning when Schatz walked into his father’s room looking ill and after 11:00 a.m. when his father returned from hunting and found him being uncooperative. The season is either fall or winter because of frozen ice on the ground. The story took place at Schatz’s residence and appeared to be in a country other than France by all indications. Contemporary time seemed evident from the story based on various references.

Schatz being diagnosed with a 102 degree temperate started the critical stage. His knowledge of the differences in the reading of the thermometers ended the critical stage. The story concluded when he realized he is not going to die from the high temperature. He returned to a calming state thereafter and cried at every little thing of no importance.

The structure of the story showed a very complicated process. The structural complication started when Schatz walked into his father’s room and moved slowly as if he were aching and appearing to be ill. The conflict occurred when his father touched his forehead and determined that Schatz had a fever.

The crisis started when the doctor diagnosed Schatz with a fever of 102 degrees, treated him for influenza and prescribed medication. Schatz had the impression that he will die because of a belief he experienced in France when the boys there told him temperatures over forty-four degrees caused death. The ending of the crisis occurred when his dad told him about the differences in reading a thermometer. The climax occurred when he realized that he is not going to die. The resolution period occurred when he relaxed after realizing he is not going to die, and cried about everything of little or no importance.

Schatz characterization is that of a protagonist in the story. He displayed both positive and negative characteristics. He is a very determined nine year old child with a set mind. He displayed a strong will and seemed not easily shaken from his position. He has a good memory by recalling what the boys who attended school in France had told him about individuals dying from temperature above forty-four degrees.

Schatz could also be classified as an antagonist in this story. He fought to prevent himself from overcoming his illness. He appeared to be his own worst enemy. He believed everything he heard especially the story from the boys in France. He appeared to be a snotty nose brat who would not listen to his father, and reprimand his helpers at home in his father’s absence. He acted disobediently and shunned those who tried to help him.

The main movers in this story are Schatz’s father who eventually calmed him down and the doctor who had diagnosed Schatz’s with influenza, temperature above 102 degrees, and treated him with medication. The background people in this story are the schoolboys in France who planted the idea of death in Schatz’s mind. The people at his residence who tried to help him and whom he refused to let into the room after his father went hunting with his Irish setter dog are also movers. Howard Pyle’s reading from the Book of Pirates, and the unknown third party in the room with Schatz’s father (presumed parent) when he first entered and looking ill also moved the story along.

The sidekicks in this story are the people Schatz’s refused to let into his room after his father went hunting with his Irish setter dog. These individuals are probably servants who carried out the biddings of Schatz.

Regarding the theme, this story has several of them as follows. The first theme is “Don’t believe what you hear.” In this story Schatz believed what he had heard from the boys in France about a person dying when the temperate goes above forty-five degrees. He did not check out the facts, and as a result, he believed that he would die because his temperature is 102 degrees. The second theme is “Don’t’ give up so easily.” Schatz refused to fight his illness to the end. He gave up and is awaiting death because of his belief about the higher temperature. The third is, “After the storm there must be a calm.” We see Schatz reaching a state of calming down after he realized that he is not going to die. His calming down state of mind is a result of the differences in the temperature which his father explained to him after he learned about what the boys in France told his son about the temperatures above forty-five degree causing death.

The resolution occurred when Schatz returned to normal and accepted his father’s opinion and explanation regarding the difference in the temperature and the thermostat. He was once again friends with everyone and his life returned to normal. This is really an interesting short story by Ernest Hemingway, which spelled out all the corresponding elements quite clearly.

How to Attract Hot Sexy Redhead Women Like a Magnet – Use the Alpha Male System!

Guys, if you want to know how to attract hot sexy redhead women then you’ve come to the right place. I don’t know what it is about these girls, but I just love them. Most of the stereotypes ring true: passionate, fiery, great lovers. That is why I can’t but help falling for them. And I’m sure you feel the same way. Once you understand what the alpha males already know about seduction and attraction you too can get these girls easily. Are you ready to find out more?

The reason I’m sharing this information with you is because it took me a long time to figure out how attraction worked in women. And I swore to myself that once I started getting plenty of women, I would share this information with every other man on the planet because I don’t think that any man deserves to be alone. I think every man deserves to be the alpha male. That is what I want you to become.

Why are redheads so attracted to the alpha male? Because the alpha male has one huge component that women love and that is confidence. Women in general love the man that is filled with self-confidence. The truth is, they are able to look past all of the physical qualities you may not be happy with as long as you have the self-confidence that you need. The good news is, even if you don’t have that confidence right now you can get it. Becoming an alpha male is a learnable skill. I’m living proof.

If you make this one change, if you choose to be the alpha male that I believe that every man deserves to be, I just know you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to get women to flock all over you. Are you ready to become the alpha male now?

Using Class Codes 0042 and 9102

Workers’ compensation insurance in Florida and roughly 40 other states, use a classification code system designed by the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) to rate insurance premiums differently for groups of employees. There are roughly 600 class codes, and the two main codes used for employees in the landscaping industry are 0042 and 9102.

I often encounter landscape maintenance businesses that have their employees misclassified and are able to not only receive a 50% reduction on their current insurance premiums, but are also able to file for reimbursements from overpayments on previous workers compensation policies.

These experiences and multiple other questions about how these classification codes may be used together on a policy, have brought to my attention a need to communicate specific information to the landscaping industry about the uses of workers compensation codes 0042 and 9102.

First, let’s start with a brief description of each classification code with quotes from NCCI’s official descriptions:

Class Code 0042 – Applies to employees primarily engaged in planning, clearing, grading, laying of sod, seeding, and planting necessary for landscape installation operations. Planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers are classified to this code along with general gardening activities.

Class Code 9102 – Applies to employees that perform maintenance of lawns, grounds, and gardens. “The maintenance may involve lawn mowing, raking, application of liquid or granular fertilizer, spraying and trimming of shrubs or small trees from the ground, and thatching or aerating. If any one or all of the above operations are performed by a lawn maintenance risk classified to Code 9102, then minor and incidental landscaping operations performed by the same risk, such as the replacement of dead shrubs, the planting of a few flowers, and the placing of rock or brick as edging designs are included under Code 9102. This minor landscaping operation is distinguished from work performed by an insured at a job or location where the primary work at the job or location is landscaping. Since lawn spraying is a maintenance operation, a risk engaged exclusively in work of this nature is classified to Code 9102.”

In Florida, the 2010 rates for theses class codes are 6.36 for code 0042 and 3.49 for code 9102. In the other states, class code 0042 also has a significantly higher rating than class code 9102. For businesses in the landscaping industry, this emphasizes the importance of distinguishing between the two classification codes.

In many states, employees that engage in both landscape installation and landscape maintenance activities can have their corresponding payroll divided between the class codes if proper records are maintained. Consult with your insurance agent for the specific classification rules in your local state. According to the state exception wording under the 9102 class code, Florida landscaping businesses can use class code 0042 and 9102 on their workers’ compensation policy only if those “operations described by these classifications are conducted by separate crews.”

12 Tips For Buying Cheap Used Police Cars

Statistics reveal that there are nearly as many as three times more individuals that prefer buying cheap used cars at auctions and dealerships as compared to buying new. Many also prefer buying cheap used police cars and one main reason for this is that police cars can last long because these are turned off very seldom for their first 100 thousand miles.

Here are some tips and guidelines to follow when buying cheap used police cars:

1. You should have a definite budget as this will be very helpful in setting your limits prior to browsing online or going to sales lots wherein it sure is easy to get impressed with special promotions on a police car model and type that is outside your “price range”.

2. Go to a trustworthy dealership. Ask for referrals from family and friends and talk other customers. A reliable dealer will be up-front and fair in price, condition and value of its police cars as well as not pressure you in purchasing any car.

3. You should inspect its mileage, because the mileage is an excellent “car age” indicator.

4. Be sure to check out the police equipment in it. You may discover speakers, sirens, lights, radios, etc. Offer it first to the car dealer so he can lower the price on your police car. Or you can pull out the equipment then sell it to on-line auctions.

Just be sure not to give it to the police car dealer for nothing. Used sirens today are worth around 100 to 150 dollars and siren speakers are worth around 50 to 150 dollars.

5. Remember to examine carefully the tires. Uneven tread wearing may be an indication that the police car may require alignment or has suspension damage.

6. It is sensible to bring along your mechanic to inspect the car’s mechanical condition. Also remember to test drive the used police car.

7. Do inspect it for contraband. These cars transport criminals so it is possible that these individuals slip some illegal stuff unto the rear seats!

Take it to your local police station, so they can inspect it for you. It is better that the police discover it, than have the police discover it at a “traffic stop”.

8. Ask for the car’s maintenance records and check it out.

9. Be sure that the car’s safety features are still complete.

10. Keep in mind that most of the time, the interior light will not light up when the “driver’s door” is opened, this is because the police car is ordered like that. When the light is put on inside, the occupants in the car are easily seen.

11. Check and carefully inspect the car’s rear door power window and lock controls. Most used police cars have deactivated rear-door locks, handles and power window controls in order to prevent criminals from escaping.

12. You must read carefully and understand fully all the warranty terms on the police car. Ask questions should you not understand anything, because a reliable dealer will willingly answer all your questions and explain completely the warranty details.

Keep in mind, the police car’s actual price is just one of the many factors determining its total price. Compare warranty costs, financing rates, processing fees and trade-in car values also.

Research on the make and police car model and do compare prices and take the time to shop around before deciding on a car.
